What To Expect When You Come To Our ER

Emergencies can be stressful, especially when they involve our beloved pets. We strive to provide a calm, stress-fee environment as much as possible.

When you arrive at our hospital, you will check-in with one of our receptionists. One of our technicians will evaluate your pet to determine its level of severity: life-threatening, critical or stable. Similarly to human medicine, life-threatening and critical conditions are attended to first. If your pet is in stable condition, you may be asked to wait in our waiting area until an Emergency Veterinarian is available. Wait times may vary depending upon caseload.

An Emergency Veterinarian will perform a thorough physical examination of your pet, focusing on the presenting symptoms and any areas of concern. We will discuss prognosis, treatment plan and any potential complications and answer any questions about costs or payment options.

If your pet requires a specialty appointment, we will work with you to schedule accordingly. If your pet is admitted into our hospital for overnight care, you can expect a call one time a day (occurs around x time) from the primary doctor. We will call you if your pet experiences an issue or is not doing well. No news is good news.
